A session combining technical perspective and real-world flight experience

NewSpace programs continue to move quickly; tight timelines, lean teams, and increasing pressure to deliver reliable power solutions at a reasonable cost. VPT’s VSC Series helps engineers meet this challenge with radiation tolerant, high reliability DC‑DC converters designed specifically for low Earth orbit missions. VPT continues to expand the VSC Series with a new point‑of‑load converter for high‑efficiency support of digital loads.

In this webinar, VPT will introduce a new level of integration to further accelerate your time to launch.

Meet the FLX Series.

The FLX Series combines DC‑DC converters and EMI filters into a single turnkey assembly. It reduces design risk, simplifies qualification, and eliminates the time‑consuming integration work that extends launch timelines.

With the VSC and FLX Series NewSpace teams can now:

  • Reduce design risk with qualified, integrated assemblies
  • Save engineering time by eliminating EMI filter selection and additional interconnect PCB development
  • Accelerate development with a ready-to-integrate solution
  • Maintain reliability with proven radiation performance and robust environmental screening

Condensed timelines shouldn’t force teams to choose between reliability and speed. In this session, VPT's Director of Engineering, Jeremy Ferrell, will show how the VSC Series delivers proven radiation performance, and how the FLX Series adds a new level of integration that optimizes SWaP.

Format: Online session in English, with live Q&A . After the event, you will receive the recording and slides by email.

Jeremy Ferrell & VPT

Get to know the speaker beforehand

Jeremy Ferrell, Director of Engineering, leads product development at VPT and has over 20 years of experience designing highly reliable DC-DC systems for defense and space applications. His expertise provides practical insight into the real-world trade-offs between cost, qualification, and robustness that engineering teams face in space programs.

A frequently asked question Jeremy receives is if automotive‑grade components are safe to use in space. In this short 3‑minute video, he explains why automotive‑grade screening isn’t sufficient for radiation environments. This is a preview of the qualification criteria, reliability considerations, and design‑risk insights that he’ll expand on during the webinar.
